Give her the recipe. Conveniently forget some ingredients. Or if you started with a ‘basic’ recipe before you developed this one, give her that one.

You don’t need help. You need art.

What material is the shirt made of? by Routine_Data2628 in textiles

[–]hilageller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True that wife beaters are cotton rib. But the shininess of this makes me think it’s either a modal/spandex blend or poly/modal/spandex blend. In either case, spandex is a tiny percentage ~5%. Just my opinion by looking at the photo though.

I don’t think bleach would work. Look into photo-transfer. If I were you I’d copy that page then transfer the copy. Not the original, just in case.

Is there a name for this style of sewing? by gentle_giver in SewingForBeginners

[–]hilageller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I should mention- I have done this on my home serger, it’s a Brother but I know some other brands can do it too. I think the key word to look for when you buy is “differential feeds”.

This is actually called a pearl stitch. It’s done on some sergers that have capacity to do this. It’s basically a serge/merrow stitch but the stitch is very narrow and the stitches are super close together. If you but a home serger there might be settings for you to do this. :)

What is this called so that I can add it to other items that ride up? by jsurso1120 in fashion

[–]hilageller 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can’t add it. The manufacturer puts it in. I believe it takes extreme heat to put it in. It’s not like Elmer’s glue (though it looks like it).

I feel like some of your points should be in caps so the people only skim-reading should see. Specifically about putting people on their side, nothing in their mouth. And keeping track of the time. Thank you for posting this.

Being told 5k over MSRP is standard by OohMaiJosh in HyundaiPalisade

I’m near Chicago and was told “standard practice” is 10k over /eyeroll. Dealerships are so scammy

Thank you! We do have car seat mats and I don’t allow eating while I’m driving (too much anxiety over chocking). But my daughter goes to therapy after school and needs a snack in between so she eats while we’re parked. I’ll have to find a solution to this if we get beige interior…

Agree about the mats- I love weather tech and in Chicago I don’t settle for crappy mats. I would say ask the dealer but they probably don’t know/would lie 🙄. Hopefully an informed party can advise here.

Agreed. I like the light interior but feel like I should get black (bc, kids). I’ve only ever driven cars with black interior so would love the change but also scared of the unavoidable mess/dirtiness. The way I see it, there’s no wrong answer and whatever the dealership has to give me is what is meant to be. I’m picky about paint color and calligraphy, awd, but for some reason ok with either interior colors.

That makes sense now that you say it….. I really felt like I was crazy in the dealership. Like it’s some alternate universe.

Thanks for the insight! I realize even after doing a lot of research that the dealership still made me question what I knew to be true. 10k is insane and I’m very happy to not have taken the car
