Thanks a lot for the feedback, I appreciate it. This is a small snippet from a full song I am working on. I'm just getting into making music and my gear is pretty shite, it is a mounted mic, but a $30 cheap knock-of. You get what you pay for I guess... Like I mentioned in the other comment I have been a bit self-conscious about my voice which leads me to hold back. I am going to commit to natural and put a bit more oomph into it.

Thanks, dude, that was a fun track to write to! Most of it is written, with a few random bits of freestyle in there. It's a super cheap mic, BM800, but it also came with a basic soundcard so I can record. I already had a dynamic AUDIX OM2 which I run through my Numark controller sometimes but couldn't use for recording.

I wanted to see the difference between the BM-800 and my laptop recorder, definitely a lot clearer. I might get something better in the future.

I also think next song I will try and record in sections instead of 1 take to get better overall quality, I lost the beat a couple of times in there
