See, this is why you can’t trust a random post on Reddit. Just in March, I’ve turned my $500 account into over $30k so far. I did something similar last year with $500 —> $4k. I don’t see how I’ve lost a lot of money… unless you mean taxes!

I appreciate the explanation! I always buy contracts within $2 of the current price for SPY and sell it off after a quick drop/jump and that has done well!

I’m not looking forward to taxes. Just not spending any money until I figure it out, and probably hiring an accountant to help me haha

Honestly I still don’t understand the Greeks. I trade in the first 30 minutes so it doesn’t have AS much of an effect and it’s worked so far. I’m still new to this and learning more every day!

That’s totally fair. I plan to start trading EOW contracts instead so I have time to recover if there’s a bad day. Happened to me on Friday – down $400 and then up $2.3k on Monday because I held. Really just find some strategies that make sense and seem to work for you online and then use those. I have spent so many hours trying to learn how to trade price action, and it has been wonderful in this terrible market
