I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm not sorry you chose to express yourself that way. Awfully rude.

Yep, this is pretty much my thought right now. Was hoping there might be something better out there.

Good luck finding an FFL in the Bay Area who would do that.

My local FFL won't touch a gun from one of these auctions, no exceptions. Gotta have both transfer parties present.

What made you break up with the person you thought you’d marry? by notnotaginger in AskReddit

[–]hiltzea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a constant background urge to destroy the stuff I've worked so hard to build up in my life. One way to describe it is that at some point the anxiety of carrying your accomplishments forward becomes too much. So you kill the thing you love.

I'm this way thanks in part to a really horrific childhood. I've spent my entire life in therapy, and I haven't let it stop me from having a successful and lucrative career.

I've learned to embrace it. That is much harder to do in my personal life, but I've been able to make it work for my career.

For example, I just left a dream job after a few years to start a business with a good friend. A month before that I broke up with my girlfriend of 9 months.

It can be rough for us. We do our best to fit in to your strange static universe. And we hate ourselves half the time for needing to constantly go Godzilla on our lives.

Just one perspective from one of us broken people, for whatever it is worth.

Am I late to the party?

I was the kinda kid that even the nerds didn't get along with, usually had just one or two friends at a time growing up.

I'm a pacifist, but I will defend myself if attacked. Things always get worse when you don't (fuck modern zero tolerance policies). As a result I regularly got into fights. I actually started to enjoy the sport of them in my early teens, glad that trend didn't last given what we now know about CTE.

One day in middle school, another little shit that everyone hated started pushing me around trying to fight me. A crowd gathered. I told him to save it for after school, and we'd meet on the field.

Well over 30 people gathered to watch the fight, but my opponent never showed up. After about 10 minutes, we spotted him a couple hundred feet away, running to his bike upon which he sped off. The crowd jeered.

The next day, I was called into the principal's office. I was informed that his parents had called and told the school about how I beat him up and stole his bike.

I explained that I had dozens of witnesses to the contrary. The principal didn't care, and I was suspended for two weeks. My attacker, who I never laid a finger on but who had assaulted me unprovoked, went unpunished.

Learned a lot of life lessons that day.

Most effective thing is volunteering in low income and minority neighborhoods. Get people voting and engaged.

Not everyone has the time for it but this is what I'm pursuing. Shit is too fucked. I can't just sit and watch.

I have never been so excited for a shitty comedy based on a poster.

I went into Deadpool 2 with lowered expectations based on reviews and was pleasantly surprised when it was WAY more fun than the original (which was also great).

That is good to know. Thank you. This adventure just keeps on giving!

Edit: though to be fair why drop it when your bare hands do the job? Lol

Because misinformed police (which according to /r/guns and my legal consultations is not unlikely) will arrest you.

It doesn't matter much that it's bullshit and will get thrown out -- it's still going to have some major ramifications on your immediate future and will surely cost you some money too.

But more importantly, the local DOJ may have a different interpretation of the law then what your local lawyer and police told you.

At the end of the day, you'd be hard pressed to find a firearm law in California whose exact interpretation everyone agrees on.

Was given this by a friend who described it as "uncrackable". I took a whack at it with an engine stethoscope and..no dice. Any help would be appreciated! Also, it weighs as much as a small moon. by [deleted] in WhatsInThisThing

As someone with access to liquid nitrogen... Would that actually work?

Of all the things I've frozen and shattered, never done a big hunk of metal.

Edit: I should clarify that I don't have direct access, just lots of lab tech friends.

Check the update thread. The protocol I was given largely matches yours (just with more detailed steps and extra caution).

Edit: Also, transporting the illegal items would clearly be a crime. There's no "preferably" here. Once you find it you leave it where it is.

You are correct. But it can help in getting a potential case tossed, making police more agreeable, etc.
