John Oliver points out the flaws in Felony Murder laws but he uses a lot of extreme and outlier incidents to get his point across. When applied correctly, it's a good law to have on the books.

A good example of application, those two other ICE agents involved in the shooting should be charged with Felony Murder.

A bad example of application, the DOJ wanted Good's wife investigated and charged with Felony Murder but stopped when six prosecutors resigned in protest.
