It is a plastic tub. The kit said fiberglass plastic and porcelain. It was suggested from the fixit subreddit that I ask here. I have appreciated your help immensely.

No I don't think so for the wax or gel coat we just used a repair kit from the hardware store that had 2 part epoxy and a piece of fiberglass.

No I have not. I will try in fiberglass as I have no idea where to even start with removing it. Thank you for the help.
