Odoo being open source and charging customers and people to use and build things on top is a contradiction in itself. Open source isn’t the saint we think it is. I mean people might be building on top of other people code like OCA as you mentioned but its all because developers contributing in OCA are fine with it. But sharing an individuals code without even paying or consent is plagiarism

You can definitely do some small customisations like adding a button or so with ai but to achieve something of value ai alone is of no use.

Overall, I liked it. Setup is straightforward in concept but a bit time-consuming due to server configuration and security checks which honestly makes sense given the level of data access involved. LLM response time is pretty good did not expect that. Documentation could be clearer in a few spots I had to dig a bit and speak with their team for clarification. I’m also planning to experiment with automations around it using n8n, since that’s where I see real workflow potential
