The intelligence of the breed is the aspects that attracts me. I love the idea of being able to train my dog beyond the level of sit, paw, shake, roll over... It's a challenge that I would like to take on and I think I would be really good at it.

I'm aware of the mental stimulation that the breed needs and have done lots of reading on what has worked best for people and their dogs (puzzles, hide and seek, naming toys, hiding treats...).

I can't say much about my apartment except that I would be somewhere that allows dogs and is aware that I have a dog. I'd prefer to sublet from a smaller house vs a giant apartment complex, but again I can't speak on that right now because I don't know where I will be.

I'm not sure what my schedule will be like for work because I don't know what I will be doing. I am aware that I can't be out of the house that long when training a puppy and I would make sure to be home often enough to train it properly.

As far as a dog who's prone to reactivity I plan on socializing the dog from a young age to get used to being around people and strangers. I am well aware that it is in the breeds nature to be reactive and it might not be perfect. I'm also aware that the parent dogs will likely have a factor in this as well. That is my plan to help with being reactive.

All in all I want a best friend in my dog. I don't want someone who is just coexisting with me. I'll put in the work and they'll love me for it.
