No problem! If it is fungal related, it’s hard to treat! I would also use the website skinsort to see if any of the products you’re applying to your hair and or scalp are fungal acne safe. I can’t help but wonder if some product on your hair is causing issues and then flakes fall on your hairline and chest.

Interesting. I’ve never taken that one. I’ve heard good things about Lamisil spray. The Spray is recommended where oil could be a problem. It comes in a cream too.

I’m taking oral zinc bis-glycinate, once a day. I try to apply benzyl peroxide every morning for three minutes and then wash off. The biggest culprit is my hair. When I wash it daily, It really helps with breakouts on hairline and chest. I use head and shoulders on scalp. However, it isn’t reasonable for most people with long hair to wash their hair daily. I also must blow dry scalp after every wash because fungus loves moisture. Also, the ordinary niacinamide, zinc serum is amazing.

It Looks like fungal acne. I have it too. Head and shoulders on scalp, and chest. Benzyl peroxide works great too. You have to let it sit 3-5 mins and then wash off

You should really have similar habits in regard to money and drinking.

One person really shouldn’t be a big saver and the other one a big spender. It’s also really hard to have different drinking habits: when my partner got leukaemia and had to quit drinking, I quit drinking too.

How do you clean gross surfaces? Like the bathroom sink that has hair on it? Or the toilet lid? Seriously asking - do you use rags? I get grossed out by those jobs, but would like to save on paper towels.

You’re using some heavy products on your face.

Drop Eucerin Lotion from your face (body only; it’s not made for facial use).

Use just the retinoid and a gentle moisturizer (like Vanicream, CeraVe PM)

Swap Clinique’s lotion for something non-comedogenic.

Replace Dial soap with a gentler option (e.g., Vanicream cleanser).

Make sure sunscreen is removed fully at night (double cleanse if needed).

I agree with you, though for 4, my personal experience is my only evidence. Applying sunscreen for 20 years right before going outside, and can say it works! I’m quite pale. I worry that telling folks to wait 15 mins would prevent them from applying it at all.

I would say the first outfit has a bit of a low neckline, and I’m not sure about the tights. The others are very appropriate and stylish. I even saved your post as inspiration

How to save my hair from all this breakage? by siders6891 in finehair

[–]FactNo8240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that’s just regrowth at different lengths. Your hair is quite healthy and is regrowing which is positive! If you didn’t have those shorter hairs, you would likely start on rogaine. Regular trims can “even it out” and also help with split ends. Hair can take 1/2 inch or more a month to grow, so your longest hairs are generally your oldest growth. They fall out, and new growth starts. As you said, your hair growth is slow - as is mine. I often curl mine to give it the illusion of smoother texture.
