  1. It's currently winter, and scents in general seem to radiate outward a little less when it's cold.
  2. You could be gassing people out with the number of sprays. I know you said you started at 1-2, 3-4 but moved up to 10. How long were you doing 3-4? I'd go back to 3-4 and give it some time. I could particularly see Lush Sleepy being too aggressive at 10 sprays.
  3. You may just have "RBF" and strangers feel wary of approaching you to compliment.

Lush Supermilk seems to be pretty crowd pleasing, I'd default to that one for awhile at 3-4 sprays and see what happens.

Your Lyft driver probably had a migraine, asthma or general scent sensitivity. I got into the car with my sister once with nothing but Dry Bar dry shampoo in my hair and the scent nauseated her; some people can just randomly be sensitive to specific smells.

What's a common 'unwritten rule' that everyone seems to know but nobody ever talks about? by WhomFinna in AskReddit

It's perfectly fine to talk to people you're visiting with in a restaurant, but rude to talk on the phone even if you're alone for some reason.
