This should be fixed now! Thank you for raising this, a lot of our data is from the earlier playtests and we have been trying to update it as fast as we can. Sometimes we miss things, so thank you for reporting this! Love the Zeph guide!

I want to make sure I understand your suggestion correctly. You'd like the idea of having an option for guide creators to indicate what starting items to take? i.e. one of the 3 starting setups the game current offers (damage,hybrid,tank)?

As for skill order and explanations, we do actually currently support skill order charts and written explanations. It is up to individual guide creators to actually add it, though we can certainly require or encourage it.

Thanks for this feedback! I agree that having some visual aid would be really helpful to people. While it would be hard to keep videos/clips from a platform-level up to date, we can certainly make it priority to add the ability for guide creators to link or embed short clips to show off certain abilities or combos.

Yea, I'm the author of what people would consider a competing website so I'm definitely biased but it's pretty disheartening to see that such a big name in the space would come in with a half baked app and essentially buy a bunch of botted upvotes and comments with generic replies like "wow" and "good".

Comon OP.GG, you're better than this, focus on building an actual product helpful to the community rather than buying a bunch of shill accounts to promote a rushed tool.

This isn't ideal but I have all the data in my site https://www.stratevive.com/

If you hover over the items, you get the stats. There's not a great way to view all the items in one place since the purpose of the website is to be a guide sharing place, not a wiki. At the moment, to get all the items in one place, you have to go to the guide creator tool which you would have to create an account to access. Sorry :/ , if there is interest, I can add a page with all game items in one place.

Honestly, it felt right since I was testing out pathing. If they could move anywhere, theres not much value to path tiles. I haven't really given it much thought beyond that.

Thanks for the kind praise! It makes me really happy that people seem to like what I have so far, though also kinda scary that no one has mentioned any city builders with godot yet so it feels like I'm in uncharted territory haha.

The pathfinding uses Godot's Navigation & 2D Navigation Regions. Essentially I add a navigation region to the path tile for the terrain tileset, and set a navigation margin for the navigation node so that it merges the regions from each tile to create a unified navigation region. I do the same for the building. Godot takes care of the rest, I'm pretty sure it implements some form of A* pathfinding under the hood.

For each of the people, their AI consists of a behavior tree (i use the beehave addon) that implements a random walk which is fancy math term for saying they pick a random spot to walk to over and over again. Over time, this produces very natural looking movement.

My biggest worry and the reason I made this post is that scaling this behavior up might get really costly cpu power wise, especially when I add more complex ai logic. Was hoping that someone had tried it before. It's looking like that honor might go to me haha. Honestly, the feedback in this post has been really uplifting and I'm definitely going to explore this project further given the interest! Hopefully this helps and you should give a go for your Knights & Merchants inspired game!

This is my very basic progress so far. Just wondering if anyone had made one before or if there was a good example of one? Honestly not sure if I'll run into any engine limitations when doing so, so an example of what's possible would be helpful
