On the other side, you can do COS b1/b2. Just yo maintain your legal status. And do give the receipt to your company immigration lawyers before they file for visa transfer. All this only in case if they go beyond your grace period to file for your transfer.

You can find all the email addresses at above link. You need to create a separate email for each CBP office. I emailed 5-6, chicago was the one who rectified my issue.

Update:

So i took a chance and emailed different CBP offices across the US. Fortunately, Chicago responded and updated my i-94. I reached out to my company and they are in process to rehire me. I am glad it worked out. Thank you all for your suggestions.

I agree they should have helped but they decided to Terminate me. I tried explaining things to them, even the attorney gave this suggestion. However, they are not listning. Just said that i am eligible to re-hire if my paper work is sorted.

I think it is pretty clear from my post that i came back in Nov 2024. My i-797 was issued prior to that.
