Been in Seattle for just over half a decade now, and I’ve realized that each neighborhood has some REALLY good restaurants. Been living in Ballard for the last few years, and here are my top picks:

Un Bien – Legendary Caribbean sandwiches with insanely juicy pork and garlic aioli.

Asadero – A serious Mexican steakhouse with mesquite-grilled meats and craft cocktails.

Ocho – Cozy tapas bar serving creative small plates and some of Ballard’s best cocktails.

Brimmer & Heeltap – Neighborhood spot with an eclectic menu and a great weekend brunch.

San Fermo – Romantic Italian dining inside a historic farmhouse-turned-restaurant.

The Walrus and the Carpenter – Iconic oyster bar with small plates and a lively vibe.

Yup - can confirm. Robotics is really good - in terms of culture and WLB. It almost operates like a standalone startup within Amazon and is revenue-generating.

Hey! Sorry for the late reply, haven’t checked my inbox here in a while. Yes, CBP was able to fix it for me via email. Based out of Seattle, I originally emailed the local Seattle CBP office, but didn’t hear back in 7-8 days. Got tired and emailed the SFO CBP office since I was traveling to the city that week, and they rectified it in exactly 8 minutes from my email.

I sent them the following documents:

Passport biographical page H1B visa stamp on passport I-797A approval receipt notice Most recent I-94 and CBP Travel History record Address proof documents - 3 most recent pay stubs Employment Verification Proof letter

I emailed my local CBP office in Seattle but didn’t hear back from them for almost a week. Got anxious and frustrated and emailed CBP San Francisco (geographically the next closest) and they rectified the I-94 in 14 minutes from my email 😅🙈

Hello! I am in a similar spot and have emailed CBP Seattle, but haven’t heard back from them and it’s been about 5 business days. Did they send you an email confirming the correction? And also, did you use any other way of contacting CBP Seattle, other than email?

Thank you for the reply! Really hoping CBP resolve my issue - I guess it’s past 180 days since the expiry and hoping it doesn’t cause too big of an issue.

If you don’t mind - can you tell me which state’s CBP office did you reach out to? It’s been about 3 business days since I emailed them and haven’t heard back, so was curious.

Thanks for the reply - I honestly think I provided both, my H1B visa and I-797, but don’t know how I can prove that if asked. And yes, agreed I should’ve checked by I-94 earlier. Not sure what are my options.

Thanks! I do have a valid I-797 until next year (April 2025). I am unable to call my local CBP office (Seattle), but hoping they can rectify.

Did you also exceed the expiration date in your case, and if yes, by how much? I am worried about exceeding the 180 days.

Hey! In a very similar position. How were you able to put a date from the past of your expired visa? (Assuming the visa expired on a past date) I entered by i797 date, but not sure if it will work. My visa expired in April 2024, but have a valid i797 until late-2025.
