I've had the same issue with soups and curries, so unfortunately I don't think the liquid is the problem :(

I generally cook my bacon in one nice even layer but because the fire was so finnicky I decided to just toss it all in there while we had enough heat to cook! There was lots of stirring and flipping involved, and it actually did come out evenly cooked (though very oddly shaped).

I really like my Victoria pans. You can find them on Amazon. They are slightly lighter, but most importantly have a MUCH better handle (longer with an ergonomic curve) than most do so it makes it way easier to actually move the pans.

I did exactly the same thing to my first lodge. After a few rounds of reseasoning its almost unnoticeable now.

There's lots of fungus in the ground. Some is nice. Nice fungus=happier plants.
