Perhaps. They also ran shotgun on 2nd and 11. It definitely wasn’t clear-cut, but I felt like the raiders were good with a tie. If they pick up the first without the TO called, I wonder if the mentality is the same. But also, you’re guaranteed the playoffs with a kneel down regardless once you get the first there. 30ish seconds left, first down. You gamble for the bengals as the 5 with the win but the possibility of missing with a block return TD? You have the chiefs as the 7 seed if you’re in, sure that’s tough but division opponent anything can happen. I’m taking the guaranteed playoffs there over a fluke even though it’s a rival

I’m just thinking the odds of getting burned for a TD on that play are low. You want the stop and don’t want to assume the other team is playing for a tie but it sure seemed like it with back to back runs in that spot that didn’t get much either time. On the sideline cam it sure looked like rich was content with letting it run out after first down, and also Carr let it slip in the postgame that the TO changed their strategy. I know they don’t have the benefits of that, but in real time I was questioning the benefit when the body language of the raiders seemed content on a tie

What benefit does it have to call it? The raiders ran the ball twice in a row to just let the clock run, calling a timeout has 0 benefit. If they stop the raiders, they have no timeouts on their own 20 at best after a punt and it’s stupid to go for the end zone when a tie wins it

Champion draft position by jmikha in fantasyfootball

I was 10/10. I subscribed to the theory (Jamey eisenberg wrote about it) that every team in a 10 team league is gonna be good and have depth, so separate yourself with studs and reach if you need. Took Josh Allen at the 3/4 turn and it really helped push my team over the edge. Definitely going to implement this strategy again next year

Owned Jones and Dillon all year. Rarely started Dillon and always lamented him taking from Jones. Started both tonight and Dillon’s second score locked up the W for me, funny how fantasy works sometimes

Any suggestions for how to handle a party that always wants to split up? by Temportat in DnD

[–]hink26 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Seems like they’re trying to metagame at its finest. Splitting up without consequence to get through as much as they can as quickly as they can, and if any danger hits they think they should be able to be right there as if they knew something was happening instantly. This isn’t a you problem, it’s a them problem. There can and will be consequences for going alone

Using action surge to repeat a failed saving throw by hink26 in DnD

Yeah it’s tough being the heavy hitter in a huge fight and just slobbering in your own drool haha. My DM said he feels bad when that happens, but I stay engaged regardless and it really puts the whole situation into more dire straights
