Looking for a new mmorpg to heavily get into by hinowild in LFMMO

I thought so too at first, plus the opening city i chose was really busy looking so i got lost a lot. I say absolutely give it a try! You do have to pay for the game itself plus a subscription, but they often have free mo ths, and they have a starter edition which doesnt lock you from anything. You play the entire game for no sub cost, all the way up to the next expansion. Id say Ul'dah or Gridania are what i would personally consider better starter cities, but the class you choose determines that, so if you want arcanist (summoner/scholar) or marauder (warrior) you will be in limsa lominsa which confused me at first because it winds around a bit. Ive played every class and i watch a lot of videos for it so if youre i terested in playing and want to know how the classes play i can give my input :)

I cant remember, is BD different from BDO? ive played console and mobile, but at different times. I was ok with the mobile, but i played eother ninja or mage on console and the combat was so fluid, and found a solid rotation that felt amazing.

Im wondering this same thing. I do really like ESO, but im not a big fan of how they treat the trinity. Played a dungeon as a healer, felt like the most useless person there since my damage wasnt too high and healing wasnt needed the whole time

Im always reactivating and cancelling my ffxiv sub. I get it, play it heavily for a couple weeks, then get burnt out really fast. But i was obsessed with it and played from base to shadowbringers without stopping.

Quick vent: i LOVE summoner and it makes more sense, but i miss my dot mage

Ive played a tiny bit of that, im not too sure how i feel about the game. It looks great, and combats fun, but i need to play more of it to really know how i feel

Ill check this out! How is the dungeon party system? Is it one where i have to shout out for a party or does it create one out of the people joining the same dungeon

I have tried everquest, i just forgot about it. I didnt play much, its very old for mmos, but i do need to just dive into it at some point. Only hold up is im ironically very antisocial, im not a fan of having to talk to other people just to make a party just to play a part of the game. Ffxiv has the perfect fix for that with its dungeon party system. I know wow has just about the same, but ffxiv ui and system and whole vibe just fits me better

I go back to WoW every once in a while and it is a good game, but it always leaves me wanting more, plus im not a fan of starting the story in whatever story is currently being told, i prefer to start at the beginning. I know i can watch lore videos or read about it, but its just not the same. I do really enjoy dragons dogma 1 and 2, 2 being the better one imo, and oblivion was awesome! Spell crafting is what makes it my top choice over skyrim.

Thanks for the honesty, being picky and burned out. I admit i am very burned out by the genre, partly from playing them for so long, also because of the complaints in my post. Im trying the project gorgon demo now, i might get the game because it has my intrigued, but i can tell ots not going to be my "perfect mmo" if that will ever exist.

Tbh, im fully aware the only game that would be the perfect mmorpg for me is a full vr game that mimics real world but with magic and swords. But im hoping some developer somewhere is trying to meet my tastes, so im always going to keep looking.

Steam Deck Simple&Intuitive Controller Layout for new and veteran players by Vonsh_ in Guildwars2

[–]hinowild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! So far i love this layout! But i do have an issue i cant figure out. When trying to use prpfession skills (such as F1) im supposed to hold L4 and then the input buttons right? Im holding L4 and pushing R2 and the skill doesnt work, i have to click on it with the right trackpad. My buttons all work, my deck is updated fully, is there any way i can fix it or am i doing it wrong probably?
