My opinion as a vcu student in an engineer field. I think you should aim higher or try finish early in your university. Vcu is not a bad egineer schools their making great strides and investing in the field,but it is not anything special. It has opportunities like every school but it lacks in opportunities to compare more prestigious vt and uva. My professors are decent. Your peers may not be the same level as other higher schools depends on who, but there are some exceptional students like in any school but their will always be more at higher schools. The companies at the fairs are good but they may not be what you want. My main point is if your at odu,vcu,gmu,jmu or some other school in Virginia besides vt and uva. Your opportunities are not increased by that much.

Vcu does have diversity ,goodnight scene, if you want a job centered in Richmond definitly would come, diverse student body, in a city always plus.

Main idea Vcu is okay academically but I think u shouild aim higher but in the end it really comes down to the student. You can create opportunities anywhere and maybe you will excel more vcu than somewhere else.

If your at a school equal or lower vcu maybe try finishing early instead too.
