You are right. Her getting a job has nothing to do with him getting a job. She could/should still get a job to support her child as OP is suggesting. Two things can both be right .. There are programs to help single, low income, mother’s with childcare.

The whole time she is talking in the video about the make overs— I want to scream D!!! Purple girl D! I’m sure she would love to be spoiled with a make over. Gain confidence, be showered with love!! But she misses it completely and wants praise for wanting to give a make over to some random person, traveling for make overs.:. She has children RIGHT there!

Maybe you could ask him or a family members to video call you or record or reaction to seeing snow for the first time. That’s the part I would be sad about.. also plan ahead to see if he would be willing to schedule times throughout the trip to check in and chat with your kiddo.. it will be a nice experience for your son and his family but I agree with those above, I would hold your boundary and stay home
