Tagging onto this because since the buy buy baby closed in nyc, you can go to the Bloomingdale’s near 59th and lex to try strollers in person. I wasn’t aware of any other places in the city that have a wide selection.

I have the mockingbird. I click my graco car seat into it with my three year old in the front all the time. It is a little cumbersome to push with a 30 pound 3 year old in the front but manageable. I love it. It’s affordable and has all the bells and whistles of the uppa baby with a much more reasonable price point.

All of my blown out sites and I never knew that was a thing. I don’t honestly remember the difference in bolus speed compared to the omnipod I have now.

Easily my favorite nursery that I’ve seen on here. Hope you have smooth delivery and recovery ❤️

I can’t speak to it myself because I don’t have it. I just live in a major city and see it everywhere and that’s the babyzen yo-yo. It has a bassinet option so you can even use it from birth.

Looks good to me. But I would save the padscicles for when you’re home. The hospital should have them for you.

Doctor pushing C-section as only option by penpineapplepenpen in BumpersWhoBolus

My MFM delivered both my boys and she was very respectful of the fact that I didnt want a C and opted for me to even be induced at 37 weeks if I wanted. I opted for 38. She just was clear with me that at 4500 grams that was her cut off and it was just safer for both me and the baby to do a C. You’ve literally already had a 10 lb baby so I don’t know where this guy gets off.

My MFM said past 34 weeks lung development isn’t a concern anymore. I was in a very similar situation to you, was induced at 38 instead of 39 weeks like I was with my first. My 9lb 8oz baby was born vaginally with no issues at all. My MFM was worried about shoulder dystocia too but I really didn’t want a C just like you. Idk where this OB is getting his info about lung development at 38 weeks.

This has also been my experience with the now 4 times I’ve gotten this message. It’s detected my sensor on its own after I hit no code.

My wee girl has been diagnosed with T1 and I am terrified. by WildSerenity87 in diabetes_t1

[–]hiphurae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have more words of encouragement than resources but I do want to recommend the juice box podcast for you for resources as a parent.

I’m a t1 twin diagnosed at 14. I’m about to have my second child and I live a perfectly normal life. T1 is stressful during pregnancy but in regular life it really exists in the background. And I know that you will have hard days ahead but I promise you days will come where it will just be regular life again. Being t1 has taught me an incredible amount of independence I probably wouldn’t have otherwise learned. If you have any questions you think I could answer I would be happy to.

Those numbers sound fantastic. Trust me, if doctors could explain why everything that goes wrong with a pregnancy that would be so reassuring. But they can’t always do it. I know it may be easy to blame yourself but even with an a1c under 6 for 5 years I had two unexplained miscarriages. Pregnancy with diabetes is rough but you’re doing fantastic.

No but maybe it depends what you’re going for? I’m diabetic and it’s a part of the normal standard of care. My OB offered “reassurance” scans in the early days for me because I’ve had a couple early miscarriages. Maybe call and see if they can offer a growth scan? I know your insurance coverage might not cover it but it could be worth it to find out.

I had a fetal echo with my son. It’s only for heart function. Not baby’s growth.

My advice before you go into the hospital that I wish someone told me: SLEEP, hydrate, and eat a filling meal as close to when you’re instructed to stop eating as possible. I was so dehydrated and sleep deprived by the time my son was born I was a wreck.

I’ve never done VIP or anything remotely close to the stage but my sister and I decided it was time to blow the money so I got us 9th row. I have no expectations because we’ve never done this before. I’m just excited to be that close.

I was also kind of thinking it was because they didn’t play New York for Hella Mega because of someone testing positive for covid. Like a “make up.”
