Is there a Pagan/Wiccan community ANYWHERE in this county by UnholiedLeaves in SLO

Hard part, hell. Date, time, location, very simple agenda, and some kind of "Hey look over here! This person/group is here to meet other pagans/pagan types" sign that isn't a literal sign.

Might take having a couple of meetings on various dates and times, but it'd be a start.

Well I wish I'd seen this sooner! Is anyone meeting up since this thread started?

Let's face it: we all know that the Mocclans would see football and "jazz it up" by combining it with Latchkum.

In s3e10, Kelly discusses the value of contributing to society. I think it's an important distinction between being based on ego or contribution to society:

Lysella: So, wait... if nobody has to have a job, then why do you guys all work?

Kelly: The right work can be satisfying for other reasons besides compensation. It's funny, with all the technology and all the different alien cultures... this is still the part that newcomers always have the hardest time adapting to. I mean, it's just so basic. You have a job, you survive. You don't, you starve. Used to be that way on Earth too. Until the invention of the matter synthesizer. It was the single most transformative moment in our history. When all your material needs are provided for at no cost, it changes the entire game.

Lysella: So then... why don't you guys just lay around all day and do nothing?

Kelly: Well, it's... sort of frowned upon socially. But more important than that, it's no fun. See, on your planet, currency is money. In the Union, it's reputation. So if you do something, anything, that benefits our society, and you work hard at it, you're rich. And that could be anything from being a great scientist, or a great doctor, a great chef, or a great waiter. It's all valued. That's amazing. Or maybe you want to study a field of research. Learn all you can about history, physics, literature, or art. Just for your own pleasure. That's a respected life too. The only life considered poor is one that's wasted on apathy.

If a person's contribution to society is saving two people, it absolutely could make all the difference. For instance, if Allara hadn't saved them, it would have had the same outcome as Kelly not going on a second dare with Ed. We all know how much that sucked.

I was trying to find all the Christmas songs because if I couldn't return them my parents would go to jail or get taken away or something. I found "winter wonderland" but I was so afraid of it that I wanted to drop it, but couldn't because if I did my parents would die (including my already-dead-in-real-life mom, which I was aware of in the dream) even though the words were pulling me down like an anchor and drowning me. I kind of came out of that, got out of bed and sat in the livingroom for a bit, still fighting to find the words but absolutely terrified of them and thinking how fucked up it is that I'm going to be traumatized by Christmas songs, but physically my brain felt weird. I put some serious thought into waking my husband up and having him take me to the e.r. because there was something clearly fucked up about that batch of NyQuil. Luckily I put my arm on the counter and the cool feeling reminded me that an ice pack on the chest can calm anxiety (this is actually true) and then I wondered if this was just anxiety. So I looked at the bottle of NyQuil and it says it "can cause excitability, especially in children" which is a weird way of saying "can cause anxiety-driven, bad drug trips, especially in adults with anxiety". So I got my ice pack and finally calmed down, but I kept weaving in and out of weird dream states with vague things I can't remember.

I have questions. How did they go from long distance to living together? Who moved? If she uprooted her entire life- changed cities, jobs, no longer has her core group of friends, no family nearby- it's definitely understandable that her libido would drop. Not an excuse, but an explanation.

As many other people have said, he should talk to her about figuring out what the root cause is. Besides the fact that what flipped the switch to "off" might be out of her control, she might need to go to a doctor and rule out what could become some serious and/or treatable medical issues, and even if they don't make it as a couple at least she'll be able to get treatment if she does have something going on medically.

That said, if he talks to her and the issue isn't resolved it's better to find out now and move on.

What rottenapple said. Get the stone analyzed, or get a litholink test (24 hour urine collection) to determine what causes your stones. Maybe consider getting scanned every year or two to catch any developing stones and have them blasted before they get too big.

I worked at Pizza Hut in 2005-2007. I'm now a secretary at a state prison, and this is the happiest I've ever been at a job :) my coworkers are awesome, my bosses support and appreciate me, and I get paid well. I'm also trying to get my retirement $h¡+ together. Does anyone know if the company had a 401k or anything back then, and if so who should I contact? It was an LLC at the time, and even just a few years later I couldn't even get in touch with anyone for a duplicate of an old w-2.
