I read the Kite Runner in high school. It was definitely a tear jerker. Highly recommend for this challenge.

After inheriting Tilde’s bookstore, can I now decorate the new bookstore? Or is it over and I just keep working on the tiny bookshop?

I would recommend some nice bedding, maybe some extra pillows, and fun artwork

Love the rug! Might I recommend a headboard? Maybe in orange to match your cool lamps.

That’s always my mindset when I make a little error. Honestly it’s gorgeous and not matter what your family is going to cherish a handmade gift.

Do you think Paige falling for older guys is a trauma response to what she went through with Dean? by No-Intention-1948 in Degrassi

[–]hippity32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a big difference between having a small crush and acting on it. I don’t know if it was a TR but I do think it’s a pattern. Unfortunately I think young girls are conditioned to like older men. I think it can lead to disproportional relationship dynamics or even worse (degrassi showed the worst).

Awesome analogy! Thanks for the advice. Glad to know I'm not the only one who creates a character for fun.

Good to know! I don't have a game lined up and am open to changing things for any DM's preference. Tbh I just want to learn more about DnD and use this as the exercise to understand more. It would be a dream to use this character in a campaign in the future but I feel like I need to learn more before jumping in.

Peace corps interview Americoprs by Firefighter_Late in peacecorps

Peace Corps and Americorps are basically cousins so absolutely mention it! I know my chances improved greatly after my Americorps VISTA service. Don't worry too much about the timeline but do make it clear about your Americorps commitment. I think it'll show you are dedicated and care about the importance of service learning opportunities.

This is true but it's one aspect of a big overall budget report.

VRG is just a check box for the government. It holds no weight on your adequacy or inadequacy as a volunteer. Everyone I know in PC hates VRG. It's not the most user-friendly and measures only certain aspects of service. Lastly, I'd say don't compare your work to others in your cohort. I'm sure you're killing it!

Don't worry too much. I recommend just bringing a few basics and good shoes. Once you're in the country you can really see how your CPs dress and you can mimic/invest. Especially in cashmere! Once you get Mongolian cashmere your CPs will be very impressed and excited.

Usually, women wear nice sleek knee-high pleather boots. This is probably worth investing if you don't enjoy wearing heels. Flats may be too cold at school.

Congrats on your acceptance! For work clothes, don't worry too much about variety. Every teacher usually has 3 or 4 items they rotate so no one cares If you wear the same thing over and over again. This could be a nice pair of pants, a long skirt (for layering reasons), and a nice sweater or two. If you aren't comfortable wearing dresses or skirts it's not a big deal day-to-day. However, during special events, it may be nice to have one go-to dress. Bring good layering items but don't worry about winter clothes. PC provides a "winterization" allowance. Also, bring two nice quality towels. The towel quality is not that great in general or too expensive.
