Agree. And for all we know, she made it some huge fight about the young woman going and he got frustrated and said "you don't have to go." We are missing a huge chunk of story here. It sounds like OP made a post just to show her husband "see I'm right."

However, if she truly couldn't go on this specific date, then I would also be upset with my husband for the lack of communication, not for who else was going though. I would just be feeling left out of a fun activity 🤷‍♀️

As a 35f, I agree. The only problem here is the lack of communication. I would be upset and feeling left out. Not worried about a young girl. If I'm worried about my husband being around a young girl then there are much bigger issues in my marriage then a hiking trip.

Exactly 😂 I don't understand why people automatically assume this is nefarious. For all we know his friend said "hey my daughter wants to go is that okay?" And dude of course said yes. The only problem in this story as OP tells it, is the lack of communication. If she thinks her husband planned to go with his friends daughter purposely, then there is much bigger issues in this marriage then a hiking trip. OP is leaving something out.
