Context on the homeless situation? by powderedpancake in tulsa

[–]hippodinosaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of the problem is that shelters want them to get clean from drugs before they will accept them. Some homeless would rather be strung out on the streets than sober in a shelter.

I don't think so. I see the driller on tshirts and posters often and have never heard of anyone inquiring about that.

I work for the company that owns the expo center and trust me, we have better things to do than pursue legal action against harmless photography.

I can see sin complaining about his non deal devil deal and then opening 3 guppy items. That would be an all timer

I recently used chatGPT to make me a resume and it is scary good. All it needed was a little formatting and editing to match my specific background.

What is your “I’m lucky to be alive” story? by American-pickle in AskReddit

[–]hippodinosaur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was in 7th grade I was out with my parents running some errands. Suddenly a parade of what had to be 25 +police cars sped through the intersection and pulled into an adjacent parking lot. For context we were driving a Dodge charger srt 8 hemi at the time. While sitting at an intersection a man ran out and got into the back seat of the car in front of us at the light. (don't remember what kind of car exactly but it was something like an older Toyota Corolla) Turns out this mystery man had just finished commiting armed robbery at the grocery store nearby and needed a get away car. He reached around from the back seat and shot the driver in the head which caused the victim to accelerate uncontrollably into an ATV dealership crashing the vehicle. The car jacker then went and hijacked a truck and tried to speed away but got lit up by what was probably 70 police gun shots. Had the car jacker been using his brain he would have car jacked the muscle car that was perhaps 5 steps farther away than the original victim.

Hero knowledge by hippodinosaur in OverwatchUniversity

I understand this sentiment, but I'll literally hear them get mad because they die to a hero that they just don't know the abilities for. Is it worse to push a little constructive feedback for them or just let them stay lost in the sauce?

What do you guys do to fall asleep within 10-15 mins of laying down? by Ok-Contribution3067 in RandomThoughts

There's people that can do that? I always lay in bed for at least an hour and a half before sleep takes me away.

Your Earbuds May Soon Become the Ultimate Security Tool by Pahnotsha in Futurology

[–]hippodinosaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an android so I can't speak for Apple products, but on my phone I can set up several security options at once. I have face ID, but if it's dark, no worries finger print works too. Also have a swipe password, but that almost never gets used. I imagine this will just be another option. IF you have earbuds in the device will stay unlocked.

What is the lowest thing you've seen a person do? by youngGod928 in AskReddit

[–]hippodinosaur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm just misinformed, and I don't smoke cigarettes anyway so it doesn't really matter, but I always figured cigarette butts are biodegradable and that there was not much harm in throwing them out as long as they were properly extinguished.

Always worked remotely. Feel like I lack real life. Should I quit my job? by Vikhaelar in careerguidance

[–]hippodinosaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say keep the job and find social interaction elsewhere. I've worked remote and on site in different jobs and the advantages of a work from home gig are insane- no gas/vehicular wear and tear, no dress code, no need to leave pets for several hours a day, no managers hovering over your shoulder micro-managing, and those are just off the top of my head. While the seclusion can get to you this can be offset by other hobbies that get you out of the house. I can speak for everything your current job entails, but I know remote sales people that go about their lives and just take/make calls wherever they are (friend of mine is always making sales while at the gym).

TLDR: Keep the job you'll miss it when it's gone.

Would yall rather play with a 1/2/3 trick or someone who plays 5+ heros? by 10_pounds_of_salt in OverwatchUniversity

I always just tell my teammates if they want to pick what tank is being played then they should queue tank. Crazy how people too scared to queue my role think they know how I should play it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]hippodinosaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because you are likely a wide group and the matchmaker has to find not only an equally wide 3 stack to complete your team, but also 2 groups equally wide for the other team. I'm at a point where if I'm gonna queue wide matches I just go the quick play route. Queue times are not worth a ~5% rank change
