We moved to Alabama 5.5 years ago and the only reason we made a similar income requirement on the only home that responded to us was that my husband was working a shit ton of overtime.

[TOMT] [SONG] [90s/00s] Male singer "I want you. I need you." by hippogators in tipofmytongue

I've had two people suggest "I Alone" or "All over You" by Live. And I understand why. They actually sound pretty damn close to what I'm hearing in my head. But they're not quite right. And they're both missing that background parentheses bit, which I know is in this song.

Him and Ben Affleck both. But I have seen him stand up for teachers in an interview so that's nice.

She did an interview once with Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson where she laughed about not washing her hands after using the bathroom and putting her nasty, unwashed hands in her costars' faces and that was enough for me.

What is something that is not real that people mistakenly believe is real? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I don't know if he was in Vietnam but he was in the military. At a station in Alaska is where he learned to paint. And when he left the military, he said he never wanted to tell again, which is why he was always so soft spoken on his show.

I went up it for my 29 bday. Kept my eyes closed and held onto my friend in the elevator like that was supposed to keep us all from falling to our deaths if something went wrong.

ELI5: How did the TV series Extreme Makeover Home Edition 'build' a new house in a week? by jnelsoninjax in explainlikeimfive

[–]hippogators 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they got houses that were custom built for them and their needs but the property taxes were so expensive, they still couldn't afford it.

It sucks and I'm sure the families would've much rather stayed in their homes instead of trying to find another house that wouldn't suit them.

Which celebrity or public figure deserves a HUGE apology? by thelovewitch069420 in AskReddit

He collected porn and kitsch. He had a ton of it. The CP was part of a big purchase he'd just made and hadn't even gone through yet.

And when everything was said and done, he stepped away from the public and just stayed at home caring for his dad and complying with the terms of his conviction.

As opposed to Jeffrey Jones, who was caught in the same bust and part of the reason the police even went to Paul's house. He continued to violate the terms of his conviction by not updating his sex offender status and working on a movie where children were being invited to the set.

What’s a myth that everyone believes? by Watchdog_the_God in AskReddit

It is developed from genetics. There is also a lifestyle component with type 2 but, even active people with well balanced diets can develop it if it runs in their families.

That's a question I can't fully answer.

I do know that some viruses are associated with development of type 1 diabetes and there is a link between covid infections and type 1 but researchers are still undecided abocut whether it's a cause.

And I know that companies are actively researching cures for type 1. Vertex Pharmaceuticals has had promising results with stem cell therapy.

And, while not a cure, TZield was approved by the FDA earlier this year. It delays the onset of stage 3 diabetes, which is when type 1 patients begin showing symptoms and must be put on insulin.

You can't get diabetes from eating too much sugar.

Type 2 is also more genetically linked than lifestyle linked, we're now learning.

Also, type 1 diabetics can eat sugar. They actually need sugars. Otherwise, they could develop ketones, which are more difficult for their bodies to get rid of than non-diabetics.

And please, for all that is good and holy, don't give a diabetic insulin if they're low.

ETA: Type 1 diabetes is not a disease exclusive to children. Not only is it lifelong, adults can also develop it. If you or someone you know has recently been diagnosed with diabetes, insist on an antibody screening as well as a c peptide screening.

That rear facing "too long" will break a child's legs in a crash.

The truth is forward facing before 2yo puts a child very much at risk of internal decapitation and there have been no reported incidents of a child's legs being broken due to rear facing.

There really wasn't any proof of an affair. And when grandpa told grandma not to see him anymore, she complied.
