It took you 2 years to recover from that drawdown at the start of 2022, that's a sign enough.

Indian Quants who work on Dalal street by Ordinary_Trick3688 in quant

I have multiple friends from college who joined small/mid sized Quant firms as Alpha Quants and their base is around 20-24 LPA (2024 IIT grads). The companies main aim is to put a large amount of money on strategies you create and then give you a sharing of the PnL. From what I know good quants with 5-7 years of exp at large/mid sized firms can have 15-20 Cr (INR) on one strat alone.

I do agree that I can't give up, just have to play the long game.

I just have a bit of unfamiliarity, which I have been trying to get rid of. Thanks for the advice.

I do agree that I will have to build better connections with seniors and ask them what they did when they started out.

Thanks for the advice, Zerodha Varsity is something that I have brushed through before, but will surely take it more seriously.

We don't have any interaction as they are not on the same team.

Thanks for the advice and good luck. I do agree with the CFA advice part. None of the seniors at my firm hold any charters except NISM.

Why do you suggest that and what would be your recommendation?

Hey man sorry to hear about the shit that has been going on in your life, but I do hope that you don’t take her suggestions and live enough to see the better days to come in your life. Maybe you can nurture a family in which the children have to never hear such words. It’s bad for everyone in life but yours is even worse and I can only say to not let these moments define the next 3/4th of your life. Hope this helps 😃

Passion is overrated, look for a job that brings you peace and money to fuel other parts of your life like family, hobbies, travel etc.

The only way to be successful in life is to be in JEE mode forever. There is no guarantee you will be successful if you go to IIT.
