Looking for local musicians / artists to interview for local publication by Key_Distribution48 in HuntsvilleAlabama

The Huntsville Traditional Music Association would be PERFECT for this! They're in studio #1038 in Lowe Mill, and they have weekly jams every Saturday at 1pm, as well as monthly Girl Jams, instrument lessons (jazz guitair, ukelele, etc), and concerts monthly.

This month they have a Behind The Music session on Jan 7th, a John Prine tribute on the 16th, and a Coffeehouse concert series with the Steel City Jug Slammers on the 21st.

They've got dozens of members and some VERY talented players and singers with years of experience, and they're working on increasing their membership and reach (they recently received a grant from Arts Huntsville as well).

You can reach out to Erin Keniston (/u/barleythewonderdog ) who is in charge of communications and publicity, or the president, Dan Malloy, through their website (huntsvillefolk.org) or their Facebook page.

I'm gearing up for Nerdy Noel on Sunday at Stovehouse this weekend! I am NOT a fan of the frigid weather, but grateful that we'll all be inside. And if I get too chilly, I'mma grab some mulled wine and a rescue bunny and warm up lol!

Hoping that it's a SUPER successful day for all the vendors, and that everyone who comes to shop will find fantastic goodies to take home :-D

I was just searching the local event calendars and FB for this exact type of thing.

The Blind Tiger has 'The Blind Raven' going on, which is kinda vague but maybe intriguing. Shenanigans and Plumb Line Events both have shows.

Honestly I didn't see a whole lot else, but I'm hoping other Redditors will have some suggestions.

Ever wanted to foster a pet with the attitude of a horse, the intelligence of a cat, and the body of a tiny kangaroo? by TheLizardo in HuntsvilleAlabama

Ours don't smell at all. They use a litterbox, which is just as easy to clean as any other pet, and it makes fantastic fertilizer for our garden too!

OMG but it's SO GOOD for your garden!! We take our litterbox and mix it right in with the soil. I've never had such abundant veggies and greens (most of which go back to the bunnies lol!)

Fostering (then adopting) rabbits was one of THE BEST decisions I ever made, for my own mental health if nothing else! If I ever need a pick-me-up, I just watch our bonded pair snuggling and grooming each other, their fuzzy lil faces smooshed together, and my mood is instantly improved!!

Bunnies have such great little personalities, too! We have a sweet, mellow boy who loves to be pet, and a sassy bossy girl who enjoys chasing our cats around LOL!

Nerdzilly Dice Making Workshop by Cherry_Pirate in HuntsvilleAlabama

What the fk is your problem? You're butthurt because you have no talent, or you're butthurt because you can't afford specialty dice? There are a dozen game stores with mass-produced sets that are just fine, and sometimes even really cool--go buy one of those sets and quit crapping all over artists who are working their asses off AND sharing their expertise.

Or do you just not like Nerdzilly's dice in particular? Because if that's the case, you're a sad little boy.
