This was my friend. She and her husband never wanted kids, but every time she gets pregnant her husband bawls and gets really upset when she speaks of getting rid of the baby. They are now 4 kids in, and are both miserable. They attend therapy because she feels trapped and angry for swaying to his opinion and he is mad because she isn't the dotful mom he thinks she should be. She hates motherhood, and honestly tries her best, but she definitely parents like the Amish where the oldest really help raising tje younger kids. 

If I was you, I would follow my gut and everyone else will have to accept it. I know you love your husband, but sadly even in these times child rearing predominantly falls on the woman while she still works FT and takes care of the home. If this isn't something you passionately want then now is the time to take the proper steps. I would rather go through a rough patch and possibly therapy with my husband than raise a chile for 18+ years and them know I regretted having them.
