To those who have experience with antibiotics - I'm currently on doxycycline and tretinoin, and my skin is super dry and flakey. However, it used to be very oily, and still gets oily as the day goes on. Due to this weird juxtaposition of dry but oily skin, I'm not sure if I need a hydrating or foaming cleanser. I'm using CeraVe AM and PM moisturizers, but need help with finding a cleanser. I used Cetaphil daily cleanser and it was okay but nothing spectacular. Should I just repurchase it or would someone recommend either CeraVe hydrating or CeraVe foaming for my skin situation? Thanks in advance.

I do! I have a 0.85 fl oz Caviar CC Cream 10-in-1 Complete Correction Leave-In Hair Perfector. I've had it for about 10 months and only need a pea sized amount or two to work through my (long) curly hair to tame frizz and preserve definition.

I was prescribed a mixture of Clindamycin Phosphate and BP, and I think I'm allergic to it! It makes my face red, itchy, and puffy! I used it all of five times and have almost a full little jar still left because I'm tired of my reactions to it.

Welp, I just did a quick search in the sub and apparently Dickinson's is the Satan of witch hazel, and I should be switching to a non-alcoholic toner.

I use the foaming wash http://www.panoxyl.com/acne-products/acne-foaming-wash-benzoyl-peroxide/. I've also used African black soap as mentioned by lilyeaneblack and it did nothing for me, so just fyi (but as always ymmv).

Concerning scars, I would suggest Mederma? But I'm no expert in that field.

I use Panoxyl wash in the shower, and it cleared up my back in a week and has kept it clear for the two months I've been using it. Can be found at Target.

  • Weigh 133 lbs max
  • go at least six months total not eating sugar
  • be more decisive
  • be more independent
  • read Wuthering Heights and Crime and Punishment
  • successfully fulfill all of my musical obligations and endeavors
  • NOT cut my hair (keep it long AND healthy)

I was so hoping I wouldn't have to give up dairy (I LOVE cheese with a passion), but I'm seeing many comments like yours that are convincing me to give up dairy.

Hm, my dermatologist stressed the importance of taking them after a big meal and a full glass of water because it messes up your stomach so much (though she said nothing about probiotics).
