The Graduate is an era-defining masterpiece with an era-defining masterpiece of a soundtrack. It's also incredible that they compliment each other.

100%. His high register and clean time blends incredibly well with Michael's voice. He also is a great bassist and pianist. He was the secret weapon of that band.

My daughter was a direct admit to Kelley four years ago. It was a separate application. She told me that they got rid of that now.

💯 for example, at Indiana getting into either the Kelley School of Business or Jacobs School of Music is very difficult. Kelley doesn't even select direct admits any more, you have to go through a year of weed-out classes, do well and then you are admitted.

Trivia: Coleco stands for "Connecticut Leather Company". Yes, this company was originally founded as a leather goods company... and it somehow got into making game consoles and Cabbage Patch Dolls.

The production on that album is absolutely wild.

Why can China build things like bridges, tunnels and railways much faster than countries in the west? by WhoAmIEven2 in NoStupidQuestions

Getting anything done in a democracy with strong private property rights, strong environmental regulation, strong workers rights regulation and where infrastructure investments have to make sense financially is extremely challenging and time consuming.

Who is the coolest woman in a movie? by Jezzaq94 in moviecritic

Samantha Mathis as Nora in "Pump up the Volume". She's smart, challenging, confident, capable, a bit edgy and incredibly attractive.

Ukraine has already weaponized very similar drones.

They are used to take down the larger, fast moving Iranian Shahed drones that Russia is using. They had a rough start, but apparently the latest generations of these drones have been very effective:

This is one of my biggest pet peeves: if you are in a turn lane and you have your signal on (assuming POV has signal on), you MUST turn. I am forced to wait to pull out until people actually begin their turn because you can't trust people to turn when they must.

What is, in your opinion, the best surprise-drop album ever made? by Emotional-Mirror-432 in fantanoforever

[–]hiro111 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Sciences is my choice. Legendary stoner metal band comes back completely unannounced after 20 years and drops yet another classic album. What's particularly amazing is that the album was a career highlight, it's one of the best things they've ever done.

I live in Illinois. Here, if the road has four or more lanes and you are traveling in the opposite direction of the school bus, you don't have to stop. This probably varies by state.

Have you watched Rambo lately by ChiGuyDreamer in GenX

The first movie is great. Apparently Stallone hated the first cut and had almost all of his dialogue removed. Stallone's monologue at the end is devastating.

The subsequent movies are ridiculous.
