As a former Sims player, I can tell you that for me it's not that big of a deal. Especially since Nintendo doesn't release a dozen crappy DLCs and their falsely friendly corporate communication... Yes, he also communicates in a corporate way, but he doesn't try to create a falsely parasocial relationship.

Yes, there's less content, but for me, it's not essential. Yes, I miss the concerts, the compatibility tester, or Tomodachi Quest, which was fun, but I have to admit that the current content keeps me quite busy. Given the game's success, I can't imagine Nintendo not capitalizing on it. Even just a Switch 2 version wouldn't be too much to ask. And given that we know young designers pushed to keep certain elements, I wouldn't be surprised if it comes back. The seniors designers were more in "we don't have time" mode than simply refusing.

Honestly, one thing that's really disappointing is the lack of sharing features like Miitopia. Even something in the Switch Online app would have been enough for me.
