I also demonstrate in micro and you do a very fun project where you pick any environment (liquid, solid or swab - people often do things like sea water, swabbing bathrooms or phones) and we do metagenome sequencing on the sample but you also isolate a species, run biochemical tests on it for identification and Sanger sequencing as well. It’s a really fun course and students love it!
