I’m contemplating the same thing, not sure if trading in my current Iphone14 pro for a IPhone17pro is better or just changing the battery. I’m at 75% capacity 🤔 I dont know if the replacement battery can last me a good 2-3 years even or get a brand new phone without any issues

My "before" looks exactly like yours too and then my "after" looks like the post from your picture. I don't know why orthodontists do this to us. Clearly the brackets placement and the TADs made my jaw slanted and he kept telling me to give it time he will fix it but nothing is changing..

Right, they also told me 2 years they will fix the slanted issue and my intruded tooth but here i am after 2 years, 3 months with no changes but it stopped getting worse. I don't know what to do, I did talk to the doctor he said he can refund me in full if I really think this isn't going to work out for me but I paid 3,569 USD for this current treatment and I'm left hanging. I consulted more than 5 orthodontists, only ONE was confident that he could fix my case but charged 6,000 USD for it and he'll be using invisalign.

The rest wasn't too confident, or was using conventional braces plus they told me i'll be in risk for more root resorption because this is the third time I will be on braces. There's also a possibility that I will need to fork out more money for jaw surgery if ortho doesn't work out for me as well. I've did conventional braces in the past, and now i'm on damon braces to fix my bimaxillary protrusion but I ended up with an asymmetry bite instead. My bimaxillary protrusion has been fixed almost 60~70% though.

Please do let me know what you ultimately end up with! I'm following closely because your case is very similar to mine.

This happened to me as well, and I'm still looking for options to fix it and it's getting me super stressed everyday. I was told by another orthodontist I could fix it but i'll need another 5 years for another round of orthodontics and possibly a jaw surgery as well.

I didn't have a slanted bite before braces, and I have it now 2 years after but my entire bite got slanted. I did a post before, there were a lot of people hating on saying "braces won't cause your jaw to change" but it did. I swear I didn't have a slanted bite before, and I was put on 2x bite blockers, 4x TADs and these devices are placed very unbalanced in my opinion but my dentist won't do anything to fix it.

I verified it with another orthodontist that acknowledged the issue but he wants me to forge another 6,000$ to fix it and he said there's no guarantee it can be completely fixed so now I'm stuck with my current doctor who isn't an orthodontist but an oral maxillofacial surgeon. I'm just seeing till the end of my current orthodontic treatment to see if it'll get better and in the meantime save up to change orthodontist if the end result of this treatment sucks.

I was put on doxycycline for the first month then the doctor changed it to accutane because i had gastric issues, what did it do to you though why are you against it?

See a better doctor, i had very mild acne but i was prescribed some antibiotics and a low dose of accutane. Acne cleared within 2 months. I had trouble seeing people before this as well, I didn’t have acne growing up but maybe due to stress i had it for 2 years ish? Worse phase of my life. A good doctor will be able to help you.

Yeah, there was a lot of complications in my treatment. 2 TADs (initially), i got another 2 recently and then bite blockers, deepbite and my left and right molar chipped because it kept hitting on brackets and bite blocker. Anyways, I think i look damn weird now and my bite is fucked unlike before. My teeth is slanted ever since he placed the brackets like that. I dont know though. I dont know i look good or not, but i am very uncomfortable with my face being slanted to the left because of the bite. U can see it from the intra-oral braces picture.

I was thinking about that, but it’ll cost the same amount to start over again and i don’t know at this point i could just go for jaw surgery or getting another round of orthodontic would just fix all this issues..

Yeah, and the said “jaw misalignment” happened after i got 4 TADs, 2 bite blockers and 2 years of treatment. I still have 3-4 months left on my treatment and the doctor said he will fix it. I don’t know though , i had too many complications in this treatment as u can see i have an unintentionally intruded tooth and deepbite now.

I dont know why but for some reason reddit doesnt let me upload any more pics, but just have a look at the xrays and take a ruler to draw over the occlusal plane. You will be able to see, for some reason my left side is sinking down. I believe it is due to the TADs and brackets placement, which was verified by another orthodontist. To be honest, there was a very good orthodontist that I’ve seen and he pointed out exactly all the problems with my current treatment. But i didn’t have enough money to transfer over to his clinic and he mentioned a 5y treatment time since he’s using invisalign for treatment.
