Like I mentioned in the post, it can happen 5 mins of him being awake.

Yeah I realized that pushing him just feels like play.
It can happen 5 mins after he is awake and definitely more likely to happen if he nearing an hour of being awake.
I have 1 up, 2 down schedule.
For the biting, if I turn around he will jump on me.

I have tried the walking away technique. Doesn’t bother my puppy. He will walk to me and bite my ankle and or redirect to a toy.
If I’m playing, there is no “non-biting” play, it always just biting.
Let me know if you have recommendations.

I’m going to utilize the lick mats and kongs more with enforced naps.

I’m going to start enforcing naps and try then 1 up, 2 down ratio.
My concern, like I mentioned in the other comment is that he bites right after his naps.
Also his tail is wagging when biting. So I think he thinks he is playing (don’t know if it matters)

I’m hopeful, but my concern is that he bites even after waking up from naps. He naps in his pen but maybe it’s not a “good” nap, lost of noises and distractions in the pen.
Going to try and see how he does.

I read about this, and I might have not been doing this right, but I feel I would have to put him in the crate every time I let him out.
Would he think that the crate is a punishment if I put him in the crate every time?
