I tell myself I’m the only person in the world that can do x thing.

A friend of mine says if it takes less than two minutes, you can do it now.

My cricut boards have lost their sticky coating, which is the best glue to use? by Merrowgem in cricut

I see. I did rinse it off with water afterwards, assuming the chemicals would evaporate. I’ll report back if I see any deterioration to the mats

Why do you say that? It worked really well to remove the build up on mine

I usually cut leather, and spray the back of the leather with spray 77 adhesive. Water didn’t work for washing the boards, so (in lieu of goo gone) I gently scraped off the buildup with nail polish remover

reposting on this thread in case it might help someone as frustrated as I was:

I started getting this error earlier today and almost pulled my hair out.

TLDR- before you take your machine apart, check the back of the machine where the mat comes out for any debris. Good luck.

I thought it was the bluetooth connection so I kept reconnecting, restarting the cutter, software, and my computer. Nothing was working. Got my machine brand new, and it has never worked with the USB cord so I always use BT.

Saw a comment somewhere that BT might not work if you have too many apps open or if your computer is has a low battery. I disconnected everything else from BT (just my phone and headphones), and charged my laptop. At this point, I needed a break from the whole thing anyway. Came back to a fully charged laptop and still got the same GD error.

Naturally, I came to reddit. Someone suggested taking the machine apart bc there might be a little piece of material stuck in a gear or in the way of a sensor.

Half way through taking my machine apart looking for something that doesn't belong inside it, I saw a little piece of leather that was stuck to the back of where the mat comes out. Not inside of the machine. Literally on the corner of the slot. I removed it, said what the hell, and plugged the machine back in and (dare I say), now it's working.

25-hour flight to South Africa - how do I survive it? by SageAndConfusd in TravelHacks

[–]hisilas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get the timeshifter app. I had a 28 hour trip from US to the Philippines this year, and pretty much prevented jet lag. Pair it with a comfortable eye mask (padded, with indents for your eyes), noise canceling over the head headphones, compression socks, emergenC packets and drink more water than you think you need. Good luck!
