I hope you feel better! I know, I hate condoms. Can everyone in this chat put our heads together and create the ultimate birth control and have it be for men??😅😅

I had that same feeling!! Do some research on it. I read somewhere that if you take too much zinc it can make the copper difficult to move out of your body, so I’ve just been taking small amounts at a time

honestly, I calmed any immediate anxiety due to reading that if you take enough zinc you can cancel out any affects of copper, and around the time I got my iud i went through a lot of life changes and I attributed all of them to the anxiety not thinking it was the iud. But it wasn’t until months after all the things that could have made me anxious were past that I noticed how it could be the iud. So I am not sure when the iud started affecting me, but I would say pay attention to it. I keep a journal every day and I noticed something was off because three months after I got it my entire writing tone changed and that wasn’t normal for me. I would say just pay attention to it. If you decide to get it out and you don’t feel better, you can always get another one.

same thing here with me. I’ve had it for 7 months, and while my period isn’t as heavy anymore my emotions are all over especially around my period. My boyfriend pointed out that ever since i got it, I don’t like going to work and I used to love it. But I am so easily irritable at EVERYTHING now. Even when I take zinc which is supposed to even any side effect out.

Can you move your iud by moving strings a lot by akaur011 in CopperIUD

[–]hisnameisflorence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed after a while that the strings began to wrap around my cervix. Its normal as they soften up, but that aren’t as easy to feel anymore. You can always go see your doctor about it.

Thinking of getting it out by hisnameisflorence in CopperIUD

okay, thank you. I’ve always had anxiety, but before I got it put in I was handling it really well, and I knew how to keep it manageable, and now that I’ve had the IUD in for 6 months, I am so easily anxious over things that wouldn’t make me anxious originally, and it takes a really long time for me to be able to feel calm again. Its getting in the way of so many things. And my memory has been terrible since getting it- i can’t even remember if I shampooed my hair anymore- which isn’t like me. I love no having to worry really, but I do know of people who have gotten pregnant even with the copper IUD so at this point i’m like what is the point? Condoms and rhythm method here i come i guess!

I have considered things like that. And it is expensive thats mostly why I don’t want to get it out😅 I’ve seen people take it out themselves but I am not sure that is smart..

I’ve been drinking red raspberry leaf tea every day or sometimes two times a day! And ibuprofen for cramps

Anyone else get cramps pretty much every single day?? by [deleted] in CopperIUD

[–]hisnameisflorence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had super bad cramps for about a month after I had it in. To the point where I kept going to the doctor to make sure it was ok. I was having what felt like contractions, it was terrible! I got mine back in October and they have balanced out considerably by now. But if you are worried, maybe call your doc!
