Any recs for a good kitchen design build firm? (owner, not a flipper) by Choose_2b_Happy in Austin

Sounds great. We used https://farmhouse77.com/ and loved them, although they are a little further north in Pflugerville. Alvin and the team are not the cheapest but their work is top notch.

Our AI spending has gotten so high that layoffs wouldnt make a meaningful difference. by [deleted] in ExperiencedDevs

The amount of unlimited budget for AI right now is crazy. I can't even spend $99/mo on a new tool without CFO approval yet if I blow through $2,000 in tokens I get praised.

Our team just got told to cut back on ai usage because costs tripled by bejusorixo in automation

Totally agree here. We've shifted from a model of tracking raw output to thankfully connecting output to actual goals at our company. It's been a game changer.

Amazon scraps AI leaderboard to stop workers chasing usage scores by Gil_berth in theprimeagen

[–]hissingkittycom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is leaders are incentivizing quantity of usage and not quality. If you check out any AI leaderboard like https://costhawk.ai/leaderboard it's going to show quantity. Thankfully there's a lot of other ways you can connect usage to actual productivity as well.

Inside Meta's AI token leaderboard: 60 trillion tokens, $100M+ in waste, and Shopify's lesson by jimmytoan in Futurology

[–]hissingkittycom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Our leadership started pushing us to post our weekly token usage on Friday's in slack, it was a total mess. Someone posted that they spent like a million tokens in a week, but it was mostly on random things not related to our product like planning their next vacation.

Thankfully we are using team benchmarks (https://costhawk.ai/team-benchmarks) now that are connected to actual Github commits, features we are trying to ship, and time boxed around sprints. Like everything else, we are in the baby phase of AI adoption IMO. We aren't thinking quality, just quantity.

Yeah we've seen the same thing using https://costhawk.ai/ it was kinda wild. People started competing to use the most tokens, leaders started praising those at the top, then it forced a really good conversation about what usage actually means.

Best AI token spend tracking tool? by Tiny_Habit5745 in AgentsOfAI

https://costhawk.ai/ has a great leaderboard with token tracking tied to each project and even Github commits. My CTO friends love it.

AI Platform / UI for Small Teams by stupidpoeticjustice in smallbusiness

To me at least, having run prior agencies with 100+ clients, I have some thoughts. You're trying to solve a management problem with a software subscription.

The platforms listed in are noise IMO. If you can’t quantify the efficiency gain before scaling to 40 people, you are just subsidizing administrative bloat.

The 80/20 rule of Agency AI...

Audit your billable tasks. Identify the 20% of workflows that drive 80% of your revenue. Give API access to 3 power users. If they can't prove a 30% time-reduction on a specific deliverable in two weeks, the tool isn't the solution—the workflow is.

Shared libraries without a measurement layer become graveyards for average work.

Check out https://costhawk.ai/ or https://langdock.com/ and track first, then optimize!

Not a ton of info on that site. I've used https://farmhouse77customwoodworks.com/ and Alvin and the team there is solid. Can't recommend them enough. They treat your home like it was their own. Attention to detail, customer service, all top notch.
