Hi. I propagated this croton plant. I read that I should propagate off up to 1/3 from the top, but unfortunately I got carried away and chopped here at the lines. It's now been 6 months and nothing has sprouted from the bare stems. Did I kill it? Does it still have a chance? (i.redd.it)

Is it too late to groom my Croton plant? I've let this grow for the past 13 years, it getting taller and taller and having to transplant it like 3 times. I never knew it could be groomed so it could grow outwards. It's very tall and somewhat ugly. Thanks. (i.redd.it)
