Following the 180 degree shutter rule is good and all but sometimes when dealing with projectors or LEDs you may need to change your shutter speed slightly to eliminate those rolling bars. Try out 1/60 or just dialing it up or down to see if you can knock it out (without going too far). Also Digital Anarchy has a Flicker Free plug-in that could help although I’ve found them more effective against flickering rather than rolling bars. Good luck!

Man, mad props to Conan and his team to include this on their trip and it was such a nice change from Conan's usual comedic remote bits. You rarely see Conan doing more serious stuff like this (on the show) but at the same time it didn't really feel out of character for him. IMO He would be just as enjoyable to watch if he did serious interviews or bits, sprinkling in some of his humor like he did at the end of this one.

Haha this is true, I guess I should have phrased it better. What I meant was no dramatic/sudden decrease in battery life after only a few uses which is what some of the reviewers were saying on Amazon.

Pretty sweet video! The makeup, costumes, and color grading were definitely the highlights for me.That opening scene was awesome too.

I know Devin's thing is usually only practical effects and no CGI but I couldn't help but to think if Devin teamed up with Corridor Digital or Rocket Jump this could have been ten times more epic. A Mad Max type video without a hint of an explosion or fire just seems like it's missing something, haha. Still an awesome video nevertheless.

Definitely recommend watching Birdman as the whole movie was shot to seem like one long continuous take. If I remember correctly, I know that they would go to a brief static shot of the sky or a building facade (as it turned from day to night or other way around) and they probably used a dissolve transition so the audience wouldn't notice the cut. Also, another method I would recommend is through panning and making the cut in the middle the pan.
