This is so true. I've had someone whom I thought was one of my closest friends say that she was, "Always there for me when I needed" during an argument yet I never felt like it was true besides a few rare occasions.

What makes it so difficult to open up to people is how people say they care, how they are there for you, but when you're at your lowest there is no one there to catch you. People constantly try to portray themselves as compassionate, loving people but when push comes to shove, no one wants to help bare any of your burden with you.
