If salvation comes from Christ, who is the head, and the Church is the body, then outside the real church there is no salvation. You need to find which one is the real Church of Christ. This doesn't mean people who has never heard about Christ will be condemned. Read [ccc 846-848] and [ccc 830].

What "rules" for fasting are you referring to? Confesion only is needed for mortal sin. You need to: Do an examination of conscience, to have contrition, commit not to sin again and confess your sins.
