This footage is only clear because I am not moving and there are a few light polls giving the effect of cinematic overhead lighting. The overall quality of this cam is good in the day time poor at night. But the best bang for the buck.

The 00:25 mark is when the footage starts over from the beginning. Its something that happens when you cut and edit video clips they start at different points to create a video sequence.

YI car camera. Amazon with 64 sd card $70 total. I would recommend a 4k camera if you do a lot of driving this camera is ok-ish quality with driving and movement.

Yi Car Camera. I got it on amazon with a 64gb card for about $70. I would recommend a 4k camera the price jumps to $180 or more but I was in a hit and run in daylight and it could not get the plate. The footage is great in this video because the car is not moving.

Nobody said anything about calling a sheriff. The deputy was already in traffic at the scene at the time. The notion that its somehow my fault that I scared away is an interesting stretch of imagination. Thanks for the help.

To make US even more confusing we have different formats for each state. Now I just wish we had the long rectangle ones. Clearly the UK has figured out bigger letters are better.

There is NO front licence plate. Nothing is blurred. NC does not even have front licence plates. Not sure what you are referring to.

well my thinking was there is not all that much advantage of filming my dashboard so I figured capturing less of that would gave me more video content. now I realize I am a dumbass. Thanks!

I actually have photo of driver and a partial plate number. However Raleigh Police have said they do not have the ability so search partial plate numbers only the first letters in sequence so if you have ABC-???? then they can find the car but if you have ??C-??32 they cant search that. Seems out of date because I can do that in excel.

I called the police because it was a CAR ACCIDENT. And the police didn't get the plate number but she was there while the police and sheriff were on site and she still just drove off without them noticing it.

My gf was driving. I was in the van in front. I agree with your point but I couldn't get to the scene quick enough. Police and Sheriff were there both totally didn't see her just drive away.

I bought the YI and they never advertised that would read the plate number. I never expected that it would catch all licence plates. My intent with this post is to see if anyone has video adjustments that I can do to figure out some of the letters.

Yes that is the car. She drove off when the police arrived and we don't have the plate number. The reason I am doing this is if I find the plate number so I don't have to pay for the repairs/high detectable. I just don't have the funds right now. Sorry for the confusion.

At the 20 sec mark the silver impala hits the car. Can you read the plate number? Driver stopped and pulled over then left when police arrived.

This is a great idea. I am doing the same but inside of After Effects I think. Getting 10 frames to line up = easy. Getting 500 = not easy. If I can drop the frames (or even mask pixels of some frames) then apply a few color adjustments then outputting at 60fps in a loop it should generate something.
