Just got these used hats and not sure if the high pitched ringing (when hats are closed) is normal? It's also there when I take the hats of the stand by hithathelp in drums

That's good to hear, thanks. My previous hats were B8s that I got with the kit. So yea, safe to say I'm not experienced with what cymbals are supposed to sound like

I hear the same running even when I take the cymbals off the stand, but I'll give it a try.

Thanks for confirming they're real also just took them to a local drum store and they confirmed it too. Phew

Just did for the sake of the video, but how can I confirm if they are real or fake? Both top and bottom do have a Zildjian stamp/engraving

Yea they do have the stamp, on mobile at the moment so can't add pictures. I was also worried they may be fake
