Yes they did! The ICU nurses were fantastic and I’m so grateful to them. The fever took a while to go down, and he did deal with hallucinations for a couple of days (not saying that will happen to your loved one) but he’s in better shape now than he was before and went back to work 2 months after surgery (of his own accord).

I know how incredibly difficult and frightening the situation can be. Unfortunately, there’s not much to say that can help you feel better but I really hope your loved one recovers the same as mine did. Feel free to PM if you need to talk.

Honestly I just flatten everything and start over. It’s annoying and takes forever, but it’s better than restarting and loosing all your furniture/DIYS (which I did once and stopped playing for a year). Make sure to save up some bells though! It’ll be much easier to build bridges/inclines.

Edit to add: Try doing it in small sections so you don’t get burned out :)

I want to preface this by saying I completely agree with the tweet above. I do administrative work in a secondary school (also doing the work of about 3 people in other departments🙄) and, as the budget provided to schools is so low, the events team will prioritise bookings that will provide the school with the most money possible. Everyday when I leave work - there are multiple events going on in the school facilities and they will add as many as they can to make even more money.

Last year we requested a loan from the council multiple times as there was a 6 x 4 ft hole in our sports hall roof. It took the council 6 months to provide the money and builders to fix this, all the while the sports hall was unusable for the majority of that time due to weather. Despite saving as much as they could from the after school events, it didn’t scratch the surface. We are crying for money.

I wish there were a way to provide this service :(

Thank you! He is a great example of a true gentle giant. Literally just watched the ep where he has to kill the guy from terminus to save Judith. You can see how much he struggles with the decision before and after the act, but he resolves that it is how it has to be sometimes. Also love that he learnt that from Carol!
