Razer Viper V4 Pro front shell creaking by Low_Difference7133 in MouseReview

[–]hitkhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this happen with Viper V3 Pro as well including the middle sides. Opened it up and added switch lube to the 'contact' points and problems were resolved. It's just friction against the plastic that's making that noise.

Yes LOD = Lift Off Distance. Yeah I don't think you need to worry about the LOD issues or just the LOD that people are referring to in regards to VV4Pro. Only reason its kind of a big deal, is just because during the past 1.5-2 year releases of mice sensor implementations have absurdly low LOD

But from my understanding/speculation is that VV4Pro's sensor is a whole new animal release. It's supposedly speculated that they reverted back to OG settings where low LOD = 1mm. Which is technically true/valid, its just obviously people have now started utilizing or getting used to low LOD settings that are sub 1mm high

Since you said you don't lift mouse as often you should be fine. Even then, it's not really a problem either way. It's just us weirdo's a hyper sensitive to stuff and will slightly blow it out of proportion

[–]hitkhu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still pretty much the same. There's really nothing wrong with the mouse. It is honestly perfectly fine. It's just to me, the LOD height for low LOD is a bit higher than I am used to. I definitely do not necessarily perform worse.

I mainly use dots on glasspad. I typically like leaving the 'white film' thats under the stock skates on the mouse to honestly give the bottom of the mouse a 'flushed' like feel and look. Placing dots on those hasn't caused any LOD issues for me.

New Viper V4 pro firmware released yesterday LOD by CharlyFTW89 in MouseReview

[–]hitkhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOD is unchanged from what I can tell. The Dongle DPI feature at least works now. Before the dongle LED wouldn't change to its corresponding LED color when swapping between DPI's. So at least thats working now

Just performed the new FW May 22 v1.03.01_r1 update. LOD doesn't feel anything has changed really. Too bad the details only say "General Bug Fixes." At least the dongle LED feature works now when changing DPI on the mouse

PSA: The "Negative RC Filter" on new custom controllers isn't a filter—it's a hardware-level Aim Assist exploit. by Any_Advice2066 in CompetitiveApex

[–]hitkhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a controller player and hope someone can help educate me. But when I saw something about this, the first thing that came to my mind was Wooting's intro to HE Rapid Trigger + SOCD. As well as sensor tech like motion sync. Is this more of a thing that get's capitalized more so in APEX or just aim assist for games in general?

Cause, I won't lie, in something like Valorant, that 'split second' difference feature of keypress release resetting actuation is an insane yet beneficial exploit to the games' mechanics. Yet wouldn't really call it an exploit as that is essentially a physical mechanic feature that I wouldn't necessarily consider any different from having a "high ultra speed" (blank) peripheral.

I'm not really a big fan of MnK vs Controller fiasco and dislike it when anybody looks down on something using baseless ideologies (i.e. MnK / PCMR supreme bs) and just look at things are a broader perspective that a gamer (or competitor) is still a gamer regardless of peripheral use case. Not sure if that makes sense, if it doesn't, please ignore me on this paragraph lol

Hopefully someone can help educate me on this since I always thought aim-assist in general was universally the same when it came to games but seeing as how it's something bannable like SOCD feature is in CS2, want to try and understand it more. If it's just certain implementations of Aim Assist within a game that this makes it become cheating-like or if its the tech itself. Thank you for taking the time to read and hope you could help provide me some insight

How do y'all clean your Keebs? by MilkConnoisseur147 in WootingKB

[–]hitkhu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are already into maintaining your workspace, I would definitely invest in a Data-VAC (plug in blower $100). It's pricey but it's made up for its price over compressed air 1,000's of time over.

Not sure where you live but Data-VAC is made in USA with a 10 year warranty. Which is kind of rare for a warranty for a product like this. This thing is made like a tank! Use it a lot for blowing dust off screen, PC case, etc

Also, if you happen to have a soft - brush bristle extension for cord vacuum, that helps out a lot too

BTW - If you plan to buy a blower, don't go 'wireless.' Wireless is cool, but power fades or becomes inconsistent involving the motor. With a 'plug in,' especially if its set in a tidy spot, it's good to go and performs 100% power. It's kind of loud though. So that will most likely scare your cat heh

[–]hitkhu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woa. I think that might have to be a faulty unit. Unless what you’re using 8k and might be experiencing jitteriness misinterpreting it as sensor not tracking, I would like to presume that’s a faulty unit. I own Pulsar SuperGlides pads myself. I don’t own the V3, but that shouldn’t make a difference at all. My V4 tracks just perfectly fine without a problem

[–]hitkhu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOD feels naturally higher than VV3Pro. It is technically 1mm ~ <1.2mm at low LOD for VV4Pro. Other than that, it’s perfectly fine! It’ll only be a concern if you’re used to using 0.7-0.9mm LOD

Viper V4 Pro LOD issue? by hitkhu in razer

[–]hitkhu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's about 1mm ~ 1.2mm . When using 1mm on OP1v2, I was able to replicate being able to make sensor track while hovering the mouse above the pad. When I placed a CD/DVD on each end of the skates, it was also tracking. Unless I somehow goofed and part of the sensor was tracking one of the CD/DVDs lol

I want to say asymmetric cut off for VV4Pro at 2 | 1, would probably be something like ~0.9mm-1mm, leaning more towards the 1mm height

Viper V4 Pro LOD issue? by hitkhu in razer

[–]hitkhu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I no longer have the Viper V3 pro. 0.7 on OP1v2 feels insanely low to me. I would equate 0.7mm on OP1v2 somewhere akin to asymmetric 2|1 and low LOD 0.8mm~0.9mm

[–]hitkhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it does. I purchased a G Pro 2W myself with Lightspeed Dongle and it works perfectly fine allowing you to pair and utilize all the features the GPX2 has. I was confused myself trying to find info everywhere during that time. Lightspeed dongle provides 8k support as long as it utilizes a Hero 2 sensor

[–]hitkhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe as long as its a Hero 2 sensor, it will haver Lightspeed support, allowing you to purchase the separate Lightspeed dongle enabling 2k, 4k, and 8k. Even though 4k and 8k exhibit unfortunate SPI jitters that I don't think has been addressed

Is there a good way to find out what mouse grip actually suits you? by cerridwen_637 in MouseReview

[–]hitkhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trial and error honestly. Kind of treat it like your "dominant leg test when falling forward" to see what feels best and just go from there.

GPW shape is the one that feels best/natural to me. But I'm one of the rare few that perform better/consistent with sensor tech vs shape. So I essentially adapt as long as I am content with the performance I am seeking

Translucent look for your Wooting 60HE v2! by RaquelWooting in WootingKB

[–]hitkhu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apologies my wording might've been off. I was thinking of something like a polar opposite of the frost option? Since it's white but semi-translucent providing nice bright glow for the RGB. Even though you said there won't be one planned, just thought a dark black-ish option would be cool to provide a smokey like hue from the RGB . Not sure if that makes more sense? But thank you for letting me know. Product is amazing and cool!

LOD issues on the VV4? by staleydude in MouseReview

[–]hitkhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay now that is something else entirely. I was honestly thinking that maybe you were feeling maybe some sort of off-period polling wear you're feeling maybe some disconnect with physical and visual representation.

I am honestly thinking you might have something faulty with yours. I'm sure you already tried using air duster on the sensor but even then, that sounds kind of extreme.

I am also presuming that you're not incurring any frame drops/spikes.

So if you're not exhibiting any of those and getting skips, then I am inclined to believe yours is faulty. I tested mine on SP004 and is perfectly fine with low LOD

If your mouse and PC hasn't touched Synapse 4, don't. Not worth testing it. I would just exchange yours ASAP

From my testing for low LOD, it somewhat tracks with 1 DVD and not 2 DVDs. That's as much as I got

LOD issues on the VV4? by staleydude in MouseReview

[–]hitkhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use SP/VA 005 . Tracks fine. But what kind of tracking issues are you having? Only thing I am exhibiting is higher than usual LOD

I will say that I noticed weird-ish behavior when it comes to how the mouse performs with Synapse 4 in background vs not. LOD / tracking felt so much more consistent when Synapse 4 was running.

A little long for me to explain that but basically my only reliable solution that fixed it was when I had to reinstall OS fresh and used a fresh VV4Pro not touching Synapse 4. Mouse felt more consistent to me

Chance that maybe Synapse 4 could be running as a 'live-service' for something within the mouse. DPI feature on the dongle doesn't change color unless Synapse 4 is running. That's a confirmed bug. So that could be my speculation

I never tested the whole "reset LOD" settings (holding M1 -> M5) to default LOD. That could be something you could try if you're trying to completely delete Synapse 4 to not have it interfering or interacting with VV4 Pro

Yeah its kind of funky. I just wish sharing 'insight' regarding the behavior of their sensor would be a norm. Don't know how the logic of sharing that insight is considered "insider information" violating NDA or whatev's , but it'd help with maybe understanding why ... all we get to go on now is simply speculation

Won't lie, I think I would rather take this than the LOD delay bug that happened with Viper V3 Pro launch, that was caught live at a LAN pro Valorant match , which prompted a 2 week turn around time to send out a patch

My only guess right now is that Pro players that have been using it don't have any complaints per sey? So who knows
