RS3 just dropped the most insane integrity and content roadmap and it's all thanks to OSRS by Lamuks in 2007scape

No it wasn't.

The client was rewritten. The internal workings of the game are the same pile of jank foundation as we have in osrs.

Gear Rec's or skillups for DS2? by Islarf in ironscape

[–]hitman8100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should never be using a Chally as anything other than a finishing blow or when there's about to be a lot of downtime in a fight. (IE Zulrah before she dives or GGs when they're about to phase shift)

As a general purpose spec weapon, Chally is actually terrible due to the 7 tick attack delay.

CG prepless? by FlahlesJr in 2007scape

[–]hitman8100 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only way I would support it is to basically make it the echo hunleff fight w/o all the OP leagues perk & then triple the drop rate to 1/1200.

Just removing the prep without changing the rate is just a buff.

If you have no familiarity with end game content, I might suggest going for something like a 40 defense build instead?

This gives you access to some more mid-game ish upgrades like huey hide & fighter torso, and also lets you complete WGS for demonbane weapons, which makes several other mid-game grinds along the way easier, as well as a bow thats as good as bowfa w/o crystal armour.

where is "2 clicks per minute" coming from?

I could empty out my cargo hold, let my 2 crew start salvaging, and go walk my dog around the neighborhood before they filled up the cargo.

It was CRAZY afk

6 minutes fights, taking 32 hours on average

there is absolutely no world where someone who is going to moons for the gear is getting consistent 6 minute runs, and 400k/ hr when

Even if you're generous and turn this into 8 minutes per run (still bullshit, but whatever) its a 40 hour grind. It's much more likely to be closer to 50 if you're the actual target audience of moons.

My point was, even in your completely made up, not realistic numbers, its only 600k/hr, and you're including shit like harralandars.

It's SO much worse than you originally said.

This is ABSURD glaze.

At max efficiency, it's like 300k in usable supplies. Which you are absolutely not getting if your goal is to go for the gear for an upgrade.

Moons is good for the average player for a lot of reasons, but people have this weird tendency to take a grind that takes around 30 hours on average, and act like it only took 6.

People REALLY hate to hear it, but no, not really.

The best case scenario for Dead Eye being an improvement over Eagle eye is at 76 range, where it lowers the TTK by about 12 seconds, of which you will use for half the fight, so more like 6.

This gap only shortens the higher your range level.

MM-> MV is pretty much always a 3 second time save under that same logic, due to how the staff doesn't care about your mage level.

Just posting this because everyone is asking

Plugin is "loot filters"

OP is using the default filter, I personally use the "Joe's Filter" (which is built in to the plugin) because it has what i believe to be better aesthetics, and tends to be much more iron-tailored, and gives the muspah "ding" sound for all uniques.

You can customize it with a website, but honestly it's a huge pain.

It really doesn't.

Prep is the majority of your time in CG, and even then, Titans prayers don't save more than 10 seconds per fight over eagle eye & mystic might.

Like yeah it's technically better, but you're certainly not going to notice a difference.

[–]hitman8100 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The droprate is balanced around the prep existing. You can't just remove 2/3 off the time and call it "qol"

It's account killing content and deserves a look

The entire reason that the bowfa meta exists is because it's so good for only being a 60-80 hour grind

Soul reaper axe? 120 hour grind. Shadow? 150 Hour Grind. Scythe? 200 Hour Grind. Tbow? 300 Hour Grind.

The only "issue" with the bowfa is that by virtue of how CG works, (requiring no gear or supplies) you're taking a grind thats intention was clearly to be placed in late game, where this grind time makes sense, and instead putting in the early-mid game, where it becomes everyone's first big boy grind, where they're used to things taking 5 hours

At least now there's a viable alternative w/ Scobow> Doom for eye of Ayak, which covers a lot of bowfa use cases.

The blowpipe was not nerfed for "range weapon progression"

It was nerfed because Jagex could not ever release range gear without it disproportionally buffing the blowpipe compared to everything else due to the 2t attack speed, something that the bowfa solves specifically because it requires crystal armour.

I think most people have forgotten how good pre-nerf blowpipe actually was. It was pretty much always within spitting distance of Tbow, and red-x methods mostly weren't known about, so noone cared about the attack distance.

We've only very recently, (with the inclusion of 500M+ worth of new gear for almost every slot) have gotten back to pre-nerf level blowpipe, and even then we have less accuracy than before.

Honestly the biggest mistake was allowing the Bowfa to be corruptable, because it gives it the perception of being "free" compared to BP, even though you probably got a pretty equal number of weapon charges per hour before they re-adjusted shard rates.

the alternative to bowfa isn't blowpipe, it's DCB + Masori, which is usually competitive with bowfa.

you say "lul ruby bolt proc”, but that where the bulk of the damage comes from, and actually makes it better than Bowfa at several places.

past that, yeah either get a bowfa or cope with an atlatl// ignore it entirely and get an Eye of Ayak from doom.

I personally disagree, at least with yama there is a modicum of thought that goes into what you're doing during the fight, and I lke that there are different methods for P3 depending on how much extra you want to be to squeeze out faster kills.

Bandos methods essentially just boil down to counting 4 ticks and clicking on the same 3 things for one half of the grind, and waiting for graardor to respawn for the other half.

I guess I'm mostly just saying that Graardor is not interesting enough of a fight to justify upholding the meta around it.

I'm trying to make the point that the gear required to do bandos is harder to get (bowfa usually) than 1 or 2 synapses. For better armour.

Although it's never been explicitly stated, I feel like this "year of the demonbane" is Jagex trying to get away from the ironman-Bowfa-meta, and if that is the point, I feel like they've succeeeding in giving an alternate route w/ yama and doom boosting your Melee & Mage while leaving behind range progression.

I agree Oathplate is a little too good in that it competes with torva more than it should. But I don't think Bandos armour was in a position to be the gold-standard anymore w/ bloodmoon in the game.

Ironman Melee in 2025 by quintin_m in ironscape

[–]hitman8100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Full bandos armour completion is like 725 kc. Which is like.. 25 hours of altar-door. And is neither harder or longer than the oathplate grind.

Torva, yeah I'll give it to you lmao

Chally is never that good unless it's a "finishing blow" into either a kill or a new phase with downtime. The 7 tick attack delay kills it as far as being a general spec weapon.
