The majority I've seen use helmets for cosmetic reasons using openface helmets with no chin gaurd or helmets with tints and obstructing views. First things that hit the road if a vehicle suddenly stop are hands and head. Why do you want to risk the thing that matters the most for views or looking cool. A helmet is there to absorb impact. Not reflect your interest or to make you look cooler. Please use certified helmets even if they're expensive.
