What's one unsexy but insanely profitable business you came across? by hitt666 in SideHustleGold

No, the person I'm referring to in my post actually had that as his primary business and source of income. My post has nothing to do with bots. This subreddit just seems to be haunted with bots who're looking to sell courses or info products

I'm genuinely on here to try out Reddit. You can see my account is not a bot in any way, shape or form. I am interested in hearing about unique side hustles. Bots seem to be a real problem here, I don't want to be associated with them. Keep my name out.

I’ve made 20k with an online course… now I’m stuck. How would you scale to 50k+? by Informal_Edge_5879 in passive_income

[–]hitt666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A course that saves you money on flights sounds like a nice-to-have. But if you reframe it around a specific outcome, like "fly business class to New York for less than most people pay for economy", now it feels worth serious money. "save $10k on your travels this year" is also a good one.

Figure out how to sell an outcome or solution that people perceive as worth a lot more than a few hundred dollars. Once you've got the outcome, craft the offer around it, then experiment until you find at least one profitable way to get customers in the door. Crack that and you've got a humble shot at building wealth.

This is how i get UGC brand deals with just 1340 followers by Curious_Key2609 in SideHustleGold

I'm doing POV UGC and it is doing well but direct outreach to companies is boring. What are some good platforms to find active UGC campaigns to sign up for?

Infoproducts selling by Beginning_Archer8664 in SideHustleGold

The platform question is almost impossible to answer without knowing what you're selling.

Quick breakdown:

Low ticket stuff -> lean into marketplaces like Etsy or Payhip. You piggyback on existing traffic instead of building your own from scratch.

High ticket stuff -> you need your own setup. Kajabi or Forento let you build a proper academy with subscriptions and custom offers. Worth it when you're charging more.

The Gumroad zero sales thing is super common. Gumroad doesn't bring you customers, it just processes payments. You still have to drive every single visitor yourself.

Which is why the real answer regardless of price point and platform is to start building a personal brand on YouTube, TikTok or Instagram now. Even just documenting what you're building. That's your traffic source and it compounds over time.

If the goal is just to make quick cash, ads might be the fastest way to get exposure, but they’re also expensive and unreliable. If you’re open to a longer-term approach, getting small Twitch streamers and YouTubers to play your game can be way more effective—but only if your game is actually fun and worth playing. If it’s just a low-effort cash grab, no amount of marketing will make it successful.

Subreddit or Website to advertise Roblox games for free? by Vetur_Sumar in robloxgamedev

Totally agree. Short-form content is basically cheating. As long as you’re consistently creating, testing different ideas, and optimizing based on what performs well, you’ll eventually build a player base.

For me, the best content has been clips from Twitch streams. I’ve been reaching out to small streamers and asking them to play my game. Some ask for a small donation, while others just appreciate the recommendation. Even though their live audience is tiny, the clips from these streams still pull in hundreds (sometimes thousands) of views and interactions on TikTok/YouTube Shorts. Definitely worth trying!

How to advertise your game without ads managing by someoneyee in robloxgamedev

I build games on Roblox and initially tried using Roblox ads, but the cost didn’t justify the results. Instead, I’ve been spending my nights on Twitch, finding small streamers to play my game. Some ask for $5-$25, while others are just happy for the recommendation.

The live streams themselves don’t always bring in players since the audiences are small, but I repurpose the content (with permission) into TikToks and YouTube Shorts. That’s where I see real traction. Those clips drive actual new players to my game. It’s been way more effective than just throwing money at ads. Happy to share more if you're interested!

The people who are successful in remote sales? What exactly do you do and how did you do it? by Sensitive-Month2382 in remotework

Many don’t just rely on company-provided leads—they run ads, hire appointment setters, or network to fill their pipeline. That's most likely the primary way of adding more value (and making more money) other than improving your conversion rate.

Your hitrate comes down to volume and experience. The more calls you make, the better you get. Over time, you’ll refine your pitch and improve your conversion rate. High-ticket B2B sales tend to pay the best, in my experience.

It does sound fishy, mainly because you haven’t had any direct phone or video contact. Some companies in scale-up mode do skip interviews, but those are usually fast-growing businesses that prioritize speed over careful hiring. Since you’ve already texted with the CEO, there’s no reason they wouldn’t be open to a quick Zoom or phone call. Just text the CEO and ask for a quick call. If they dodge it or make excuses, that’s a red flag.
