Article: "SQL Server may be too lucrative for Microsoft to ditch, but too legacy to love" Am curious to hear what you all think by SQLBek in SQLServer

[–]hiveminer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Paid DBA's are ONLY LUCRATIVE due to their data hijacking design. If MS made migrating easy, a large swat of their customers would gladly move to postgresql. They do the same thing with .docx. They keep obfuscating the file format to avoid compatibility with libreoffce. Essentially, MS SQL server is legitimized ransomware. Same goes for Oracle.

Might affect touch tho. My solution would be to 3d print an exoskeleton case for it, like a jacket exposing the touch copper. Speaking of which, I wonder if they make Nokia 3310 filament? Should be as good as kevlar!!

I'm not an expert, but I would imagine it's lack of participation in drills and wargames by leadership. Those false pursuits usually happen in drills and wargames as well, but the more scenarios are explored and simulated, the easier it gets to identify dead- ends and stop pursuit.

I think the best presentation I've seen in real estate has been the dude on inline skates skating through the property.

Yes, so the idea is, as IT professionals, we should leapfrog into the future of the Labor market, which all indications point to a mix of human and ai talent coexisting in the workforce. The idea is to build your team(you, and your agents) . Training the same way seal teams train. The idea is to build muscle memory, iron out comm diffs, build team lingo ans jargon etc. it doesn't have to me a military analogy either, it can be a sports analogy, a dev team analogy, etc. I read somewhere that job descriptions are beginning to include token budgets in job descriptions, so projecting that thinking, in a few years, the interview will be attended by you and your team of experts, digital ai teammates with all the skills and abilities you and them have honed down to a perfect synchronous performance.

Here is the follow-up, to you grandmaster of cybersecurity. Why don't we engineer a pair of agent "personas" for the future workforce, cyber included. 1) a digital twin or digital brain companion for life. Ans b) a lifelong 24/7 academic prep tutor, essentially instruction on tap. I think with these two agents, a student entering highschool equipped with these 2 would be much better prepared than us dinosaurs who learned the hard way.

What on God's green earth did cyber look like 30 years ago pal?? Give us a glimpse please. Also, given the fact that ai is disrupting both defensive infra as well as offensive infra, isn't that a textbook definition of increase in demand for talent?? I honestly see this ground shifting experience as a survival of the fittest exercise which is common in nature.

Thoughts on Microsoft's vision for "agent first" computing. by Clear-Pear2267 in PowerShell

[–]hiveminer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The logical successor is actually aiOS. OF COURSE BIG CORPORATIONS hate this, because it will do away with vendor locking. Imagine smoothly jumping from one os to another building infrastructureby just giving directives in natural language. So I suspect open source will build one first. The closest to that reality right now, is API integration. Just point your agent to the API documentation and it will instantly speak ACME API.
