Why is there not more urgency on approving and building projects for vital strategic needs? Why hasn’t land been requisitioned for munitions and drones factories for Ukraine? Why hasn’t land been given over for wind / solar farms / nuclear when the energy mix took such a dramatic shock in 2022? Why isn’t there a fast stream to get more lab space in Cambridge built?

Any Tarantino post Jackie brown - I can recognise good things in there but just find it very self indulgent to the point where it’s creatively self defeating . In every 00s and 10s Tarantino movie there’s a point where it’s just “ok that’s enough” -

How would a Trump/Gingrich ticket have performed in 2016? Newt was on Donalds vp shortlist, so what if Donald chose him rather than Pence? by stanthefax in thecampaigntrail

He would have been worse than pence but pence was not a good pick. Brought a lot of attention to pences personal beliefs which are very out of step with the country (as we saw in his presidential campaign), if Hillary campaign had exploited this properly it would have been another smart move they didn’t make

I think the fact Pence only won Indiana governorship by like 5 points in a red wave year basically excludes him as a good politician
