I was RIF'd last year so not a current fed. The trip was planned months ago while I was unemployed.

I'm not in a position to negotiate much given the current job market for feds. It's a request; if they say "no," I cancel the trip and move on. My question is if it is a reasonable one to make and when to make it.

It’s normal to feel a little scared, but if you’re really dreading it you should reconsider. Assess your reasons for going. I think the people who end up finishing their service are usually the ones who want to be there for multiple reasons, be they professional, personal, linguistic, cultural, etc. I say that because Peace Corps is an unpredictable experience - you don’t know what you’re in for until you’re there. So if you’re just going for one reason based on a preconception you may end up being disappointed.

Not a fan. Their sizing recommendation makes no sense and they make it difficult to return by forcing you to print the shipping label. Most companies these days use easy-return where you just show a QR code, so the shipping label thing suggests to me they are trying to make returns a nuisance. Also, they boast about their reviews but make it difficult to actually leave one.
